Estepona is a bustling town which has retained much of its original character and old charm, despite the ever ongoing rate of tourism. The old town still has many cobbled streets with cafes, tapas bars and bistros.
Across from the town centre you can walk for miles along the new promenade right next to the Mediterranean Sea with glorious views to Gibraltar and Africa. The promenade stretches down to the beautiful marina where you will see many fine yachts moored, but this marina is also a working fisherman's port where you can see the fisherman's haul brought in on a daily basis. As you will imagine the fish restaurants around the marina are excellent with fresh fish being served all day every day. There are also plenty of other restaurants ranging from tapas to International cuisine within the marina.
In the summer months the marina comes alive at nightfall with numerous clubs and discotheques to dance the night away.
There is also a Sunday market open throughout the year held within the marina.
Estepona is also well situated for golf lovers and the numerous amount of golf courses includes Estepona Golf, Los Flamingos, El Paraiso and Monte Mayor Golf and Country Club.
